Mangos remained enclosed in the Indo-Burma region and away from the rest of the world for about 4,000 years. Yet it wasn't until 1498, when a mango trade was established by Portuguese travellers who landed in Calcutta, for the fruit to begin fully reaching the Western Hemisphere. The reason behind this is, most likely, due to the short window of viability available for planting mango seeds. Transport across a country let alone to a different continent was understandably a slow and difficult process at the time.

Great syrups for parties and larger gatherings. Making mocktails or cocktails for a big group can be time consuming. I don't use a cocktail mixer or any extra gadgets I just add the syrups, fruit juice and then the ice. Then I add a mixer such as lemonade and finally garnish. Great to make for guest arrival and not time consuming.
