Sweet cinnamon spice flavours, peppery with a warming effect on the palate. The distinctive sweet and spicy taste of cinnamon lends rich warmth to a wide range of cinnamon recipes. Cinnamon is one of the oldest and much-loved spices known.

A popular flavour for hot drinks you can make cinnamon coffees, hot chocolates and cinnamon teas with a simple dash of this spicy syrup. Made using natural cinnamon flavouring, Monin does not include any artificial ingredients. Ideal for home or commercial use to create incredible beverages and recipes.

Historians have discovered evidence that cinnamon was imported to Egypt as early as 2000 BCE, the spice was so valuable that it was considered an appropriate gift for kings and queens and those who wanted to make offerings to the gods often used cinnamon to appeal to their favour. The Ancient Egyptians even used cinnamon during the embalming process when preserving mummies, and archaeologists have found recipes for that time that include cinnamon and the related species cassia which were used for burning to create an aromatic smoke in temples.
