If you have any allergies or dietary restrictions, we strongly advise you to thoroughly research any consumables you plan to order to ensure they do not contain allergens that could affect you. Discount Cream cannot be held responsible for any allergic reactions resulting from customers ordering consumable products. All consumable items include ingredient information on their packaging, and it is essential to review these details before consumption.

Consumable products often have security seals, such as screw-on tops for bottles or sealed film top lids for tubs, to prevent the entry of debris or germs and maintain product integrity. In the event that the security seal of your consumable item is broken upon delivery (due to damage during transport, for example), please refrain from consuming the product and promptly inform our customer services team with pictures of the defect. Our team will happily assist you in arranging a return for a replacement.

Pressurised Gases

We are distributors of pressurised gases used within the catering and hospitality industries for food and beverage preparation. Pressurised gases have been used in catering for decades to whip, infuse, texturise and carbonate beverages, oils and vinegars as well as desserts and other delicious creations.

All pressurised gases are regulated as 18+ products in the UK to ensure they are correctly and safely handled.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and Nitrogen (N2) are restricted to customers over the age of 18 years old, which must be verified by customers via the courier on an Age Verified delivery service.

For more information on Product Safety please refer to our pages dedicated to CO2 Manufacturers Information & N2 Manufacturers Information

Nitrous Oxide (N2O) is also restricted to customers over the age of 18 years old and will be verified through Age Verified delivery services. Nitrous Oxide was also previously regulated by the Psychoactive Substances Act and as of 8 November 2023, nitrous oxide is classified as a Class C drug controlled under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. It follows a pledge to do so in the government’s Anti-Social Behaviour Action Plan published in March 2023.  of which our company has rigorous due diligence policies and practices to prevent against. Please refer to our dedicated pages for Nitrous Oxide (N2O) Product Safety Information and Procedures of Misuse sections below for more detailed information.

Nitrous Oxide (N2O)

Nitrous Oxide has been used in the culinary industry for decades and using Nitrous Oxide for catering and its other legitimate uses are legal. However in recent years, Nitrous Oxide has unfortunately become a popular substance that has been abused and misused for its effects on the central nervous system when inhaled. It has been featured in the media more in recent years which has been a leading cause of its rise in popularity.

Discount Cream does not condone, promote, encourage or advise anyone in any way to misuse Nitrous Oxide and Discount Cream has extensive safeguarding measures in place to stop the products from being misused.

Discount Cream reserves the right to refuse sale to anyone we deem unacceptable to sell N2O to or that we are suspicious of potentially misusing or of being under the age of 18 years old.

When professionals prepare and utilise Nitrous Oxide within a safe medical environment as a medical aesthetic, they handle it in a controlled manner with appropriate equipment. Attempting to administer on one’s self outside of the medical industry has the potential to lead to immediate fatality via asphyxiation (choking due to a lack of oxygen). There can be serious long-term physical and/or mental side effects, at the very least. The substance referred to as “Laughing Gas” is not pure N2O like what is found within cream chargers, but is actually, in fact, a combination of about 70% Oxygen and 30% Nitrous Oxide.

For more detailed information about N2O Cream Chargers such as Safety Information, Manufacturers Instructions, please see our Cream Chargers Manufacturers Safety Information page. For more information on the governing of this product and our due diligence to safeguard the public and our customers, please see our page dedicated to the Misuse of N2O.

Nitrous Oxide, Procedures of Misuse

As of 8 November 2023, nitrous oxide is classified as a Class C drug controlled under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. It follows a pledge to do so in the government’s Anti-Social Behaviour Action Plan published in March 2023.

Nitrous oxide was previously treated as a “psychoactive substance” under the Psychoactive Substances Act 2016. Under the 2016 Act, producing, supplying and importing or exporting nitrous oxide for human consumption was illegal. Possession in custodial institutions (such as prisons) was also an offence. However, it was not illegal to possess nitrous oxide outside a custodial institution unless it was with intent to supply; this is now illegal, marking a key change under the new legislation.

Exemptions for legitimate uses of nitrous oxide are set out in the regulations that amend the Misuse of Drugs Act. These exemptions apply unless a person “intends to wrongly inhale it” or “knows, or is reckless as to whether it is likely to be wrongfully inhaled by some other person”.

For more information on the governing of this product and our due diligence to safeguard the public and our customers, please see our page dedicated to the Misuse of N2O.
